CAN A NYC COMMISSIONER OF DEEDS NOTARIZE DOCUMENTS GOING OUT STATE?

A New York City Commissioner of Deeds cannot notarize documents for use outside of New York State under most circumstances. The New York notary public jurisdiction ends where New York State ends unless that specific notary is also a certified notary in the destination state and has properly registered in said state.
