1. Verification of documents: After the declaration of results, candidates will be required to submit the original documents as per the document verification list specified by IBPS. Candidates will be informed of the date and venue of the document verification process. Any discrepancy found during document verification may lead to disqualification of the candidate.
2. Provisional Allotment: Based on the candidate's merit and preferences filled during the registration process, IBPS will release the provisional allotment list. The allotment list will indicate the bank and location where the candidate is tentatively assigned. It's important to note that the provisional allotment is subject to medical fitness and character verification.
3. Medical Examination: Candidates will be required to undergo a medical examination conducted by a panel of doctors appointed by IBPS. The medical examination is to ensure that candidates are physically and mentally fit to perform the duties and responsibilities of a Probationary Officer.
4. Character Verification: IBPS conducts character verification to ascertain the personal and professional integrity of the candidates. It involves inquiries with the candidate's current employer, educational institutions, and references provided. Any adverse report during the character verification may result in disqualification.
5. Final Allotment: After successful completion of the verification processes and medical examination, the final allotment list will be released by IBPS. Candidates will be allotted banks and locations based on their merit and preferences. The final allotment is considered binding, and candidates must report to the allotted bank and location as directed.
6. Pre-training Module: Before the commencement of the probationary training, candidates may be required to complete a pre-training module or online training program. The pre-training module is designed to provide the candidates with a foundation in banking concepts and practices.
7. Probationary Training: Selected candidates will undergo a rigorous probationary training program organized by the respective banks. The training period typically lasts for 2 to 3 months and covers various aspects of banking operations, customer service, and risk management.
8. Joining as Probationary Officer: Upon successful completion of the probationary training, candidates will be confirmed as Probationary Officers. They will be posted to the designated branch or department of the bank and will start working as full-fledged Probationary Officers.
