African countries have temperatures starting at the mid-70s ranging all the way to more than 100 degrees in the month of December. Milder climates in the mid-70s to the low-80s are found in the western region of the continent in countries such as the Ivory Coast. Also, the South African city of Vioolsdrif has reached 103 degrees in winter time.
Wrapping around the eastern end of the Caribbean Sea, the Lesser Antilles is a collection of islands including the Bahamas, Cayman Islands, Aruba and Turks and Caicos. In Aruba, Christmastime temperatures are in the mid to high-80s. Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Owen Roberts, Cayman Islands all have a climate with temperatures in the low to mid-80s. Of the milder temperatures in the Lesser Antilles, the winter climate in the Bahamas is in the high-70s to low 80s.
Several areas in South America have Christmas temperatures in the mid- to high-80s. A host of cities in Argentina, including Concordia, Las Lomitas and Obera, follow such a temperate trend. Brazil and Venezuela both have temperatures in the mid-80s, which is good for Brazilians because the season of Carnival starts at the end of winter. Lastly, Bahia Negra, Paraguay, has an average climate in the upper-80s to the high-90s in the winter time.
The Atlantic and Pacific coasts, as well as Hawaii, are all home to several cities with warm temperatures during Christmas. Kailua Kona, Hawaii, is blessed with temperatures in the mid-80s while other Hawaiian cities' climates fall around the low to mid-70s. Though the California coast shares the Pacific Ocean with Hawaii, its warmer temperatures are found inland in cities such as Palm Springs. Miami, along the Atlantic coast, has winter temperatures in the 70s.
