Call your cell phone provider. Most companies provide a month-to-month international UK contract add-on for customers who are traveling or need to call abroad for only a short period of time. Keep in mind that the charges could be over $1 per minute.
View your land line bill to see if you have international long distance. If you do not, call the phone company and ask for the addition to your bill. Unlike with your cell phone company, there is no contract.
Call the number listed on the international calling card. Type in the code listed on the back of the card.
Dial 011, the international calling code. Follow the code with the country code, 44, then the area code (such as 020 for London). Finally dial the remaining phone number.
