Instructions

  1. Planning Your Camping Trip

    • 1

Decide which days you want to go. Ideally, you want to plan your trip for the summer months, since the other seasons tend to be very rainy.

    • 2

Make reservations at one of Long Beach's campsites or RV Parks. It is important to do this ahead of time because they do sell out sometimes. Some example campgrounds and RV Park are listed in the References section of this article.

    • 3

Make an inventory of the things you will need for your trip. Besides the tents and sleeping bags, make sure you have enough warm clothing and food.

    • 4

Make an itinerary of what you want to do during your camping trip. Do you want to go to the beach? Do you want to build a campfire? Whatever it is that you want to do for fun, make sure you plan for it.

    Making Your Camping Trip Happen

    • 5

Make sure you know where you are going. Use your Washington state road map to guide you to Long Beach.

    • 6

Register with the front office when you get to your campsite or RV Park. This is usually located at the entrance.

    • 7

Set up camp. Make sure you stay within your designated site limits.

    • 8

Clean your camp site completely before you leave. Not only is it courteous to the owners of the camp site, but you could be charged extra if you do not clean up the site.

    • 9

Make sure you check out with the front office of the campgrounds or RV park once you have cleaned your site and are ready to return home.
