UAE Passport Requirements

The United Arab Emirates is a federation of seven emirates with the same ruler. The area is headed by a president and council that follows Islamic beliefs. When traveling for business or pleasure, there are entry requirements to enter the UAE.
  1. Foreign

    • All countries outside of the United Arab Emirates must have a valid passport for stays up to 30 days. Passports must be valid for three months past the point of entry if there as a visitor, six months if on business.

    Application

    • Passports can be applied for at the local post office. The application should be printed off the computer and filled out at home. Applicants will need two passport sized photos (which can be taken at your local drug store or department store), proof of citizenship and identification. The entire process can take up to eight weeks, so plan ahead when planning a trip.

    Visas

    • Visas are required for those visiting the United Arab Emirates for more than 30 days. Upon entry, visitors, there for leisure or business, can apply for a visa at the port. Visas are valid for up to 90 days. Those traveling from Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovak Republic and Slovenia must apply for a visa for any length of stay.
