Bug Jar is a dance club, bar and music venue that is open seven days a week. The two room club features one room with a stage, and another with the bar, seating and a pool table. The interior is painted with bright colors and the decor is a hodge podge of mosaics, fake bug toys and furniture attached to the ceiling. Each day the Bug Jar features a different drink special, usually discounting beers and well drinks. The music is a mix between live music (ranging from indie to death metal) and DJs,and the club often gets well known headliners. The cover charge depends on the event.

Lux Lounge is a night club and bar located in Rochester's Southwedge neighborhood. Housed in a hot pink building, Lux has eclectic decorations that include Christmas lights and hanging stuffed animals and skulls. The club has a large outdoor patio which stays open year round to accommodate smokers. Muther's 40 Union is an 18 and over gay bar and dance club that features frequent drag shows. Sundays and Fridays are reserved for drag queen shows, while drag king shows happen every Thursday.
