• LOVE's vision as a venue is to serve as a meeting place for artists. The club continues to live up to the spirit of partying while achieving such a purpose. LOVE is primarily an 18-and-up club, but there are some events which cater to the 21-and-up crowd. Those under 21 will need to call ahead of time to check which nights the club opens for them. The club has two rooms. The smaller room is called the Cave and is a cozy hangout spot that serves as a warm-up for the bigger Main Room. Reviewers cite the Main Room DJs for their break beat tracks, but some argue that the Cave DJs are sometimes superior to their Main Room counterparts.

Pegu Club

• A lounge bar, Pegu club offers an exotic alcohol drinking experience to its patrons. The owners of the club named it after the ancient kingdom of Pegu, which stood in what is now Burma. They also say that there was a British officer's bar of the same name in colonial Burma and that it concocted the most esoteric tonics. Pegu Bar contains a far eastern motif to evoke a more exotic atmosphere. The bartenders mix an array of citrus fruits and juices with alcoholic beverages to produce the club's signature drinks. Guests have to be 21 or older to enjoy their alcoholic mixes.

Union Bar

• The Union Bar is a combination of a dance club and a sports bar. Sports fans can watch the latest games while drinking at the bar. Union Bar's sound systems are amped up enough to pump excitement to its dance parties. Part of the club's interior design, the U-shaped bar is a cultural artifact--it is originally from the Astor Hotel, built in 1904. The bar's patrons are a cross between young urban professionals from the city's financial district and students from NYU, including those who are two or three years younger than 21. DJs play a mix of hip-hop, rock and techno.
