The Chinese Village Buffet is one of the top buffet-style Chinese restaurants in East Peoria. Located in a strip mall, the all-you-can-eat buffet has both traditional Chinese choices along with some American-style food. Among the food stocked on the buffet are sweet and sour chicken, sesame chicken and crab wantons. There are also french fries and chicken nuggets. The restaurant recently had a renovation, so the fixtures and dining room are new. The decor has some Chinese knickknacks and flower arrangements.

Ming's Buffet is a more high-end buffet style restaurant, located near the Illinois River and the bridge to Peoria. Ming's stocks its buffet with Chinese favorites like lo mein, fried rice and different types of fried shrimp. But the restaurant also has a sushi chef who makes fresh sushi for diners, including a selection of sashimi with eel, tuna and other items. Ming's also offers American dishes, including Prime Rib. The atmosphere is nice, kept clean with booths and tables for diners.

Jade Garden Restaurant is your classic small, takeout-focused Chinese restaurant. This small storefront restaurant in a strip mall has a counter and a few tables in the front of the restaurant. The menu includes fried rice dishes, lo meins and combos that include an entree (broccoli beef, sesame chicken and the like), rice and an egg roll. Good for a quick to-go meal.
