How many cats per household are legal in Lake county California?

According to Lake County Code, Title 12 ANIMALS, Chapter 12.08 - CATS AND DOGS and in particular Section 12.08.010 - Limit on Number, only three (3) cats or dogs, or any combination thereof, which have reached at least four months of age shall be permitted to be owned, possessed or kept in a household by a person or family unit except if the excess animals constitute a litter of kittens under the age of forty-five days or a litter of puppies under the age of eight weeks.
