Do you need a license to bodyguard in Nevada?

The answer is yes.

Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) 648: Licensing and Regulation of Private Investigators require any person acting as a security guard or bodyguard to be licensed.

The security guard license, however, is not required if the person is exclusively involved in the personal protection of other individuals and is not otherwise involved in security services (NRS 648.195).
