Vancouver Adventure Tours

Adventures are waiting to be had in Vancouver, British Columbia, in Canada. This culturally diverse city is surrounded by mountains, glaciers, rivers and islands teeming with wildlife. Adventure travel is big in the region that was home to the 2010 Winter Olympics. Visitors to Vancouver will easily find guided adventure tours such as kayaking, biking and hiking to explore the vast wilderness that surrounds the city.
  1. Orca Expedition

    • This tour takes you on the sea kayaking tour to see the wild orcas around Vancouver Island in Johnstone Strait. This three-day tour has participants spending their days kayaking, taking pictures of the whales and the surrounding scenery and listening to the whales with a portable hydrophone. Participants will also kayak by Robson Bight Ecological Reserve where orcas can be seen rolling and rubbing their bellies on the pebbly beach. Participants will also visit the Whale Interpretive Museum in Telegraph Cove. All meals and camping accommodations are included.

    Mount Arrowsmith Hiking Tours

    • The Mount Arrowsmith Wilderness Hiking expedition is a five-hour tour for experienced hikers, taking visitors on a tough hike up the mountain, located on Vancouver Island. Hikers will follow a steep terrain, so be sure to bring proper hiking boots. Participants will also get to explore the alpine wildflowers and alpine lakes nestled in between the mountains. The higher up the mountain you go, the colder it gets, so be sure to bring appropriate warm clothes. For less experienced hikers or for those who just want to take it easy, the Paradise Meadows Nature Tour, also on Vancouver Island takes participants on a relaxing nature tour around Strathcona Provincial park to explore the wildlife.

Vancouver Kayak & Beach BBQ Wilderness Adventure

    • This six-hour day tour takes participants from their Vancouver hotel to India Arm, a small ocean cove that is part of Canada's glacial fjord, and board kayaks to tour the fjord and the surrounding scenery. Guests will see various marine life, including the most common, the harbor seal. Expect to see sea stars, crabs and mussels clinging to the shores when the tide is low. Participants will then have a picnic BBQ on a remote island, and then are free to relax, explore the island, or go for a swim if weather permits before heading back to Vancouver.
