Go directly to Hilton's website and access their "Specials and Packages" section (see Resources). On this Web page, Hilton list their specials such as a weekend getaway discount. These specials come with discounted room rates. In addition, any packages that come with points are listed. For example, you can get 4 times the HHonors points for staying at the hotel on a Sunday. Points earned can then be applied toward a discount on your next Hilton hotel stay. You can search for a Hilton hotel by location, all Hilton hotels in or near that location will be listed.
Book a stay at a Hilton hotel using Hotels.com. This website offers discounted room rates at all Hilton hotels, even the Waldorf-Astoria. Hotels.com typically offers a lower room rate than could be purchased from Hilton directly but there are some exceptions. For example, in December of 2010, the Internet site offered stays in mid-January of 2011 at the Waldorf for $369 a night. The same room on Hilton's website was available for $249 a night.
Name your price for an Hilton stay at Priceline. Priceline offers discounts on most Hilton hotels all over the world. Priceline will allow you to enter a room rate that you want to pay. If they accept your rate, your credit card is charged and your room is booked. If the price is too low, Priceline will email you a counter-offer at the price they will accept. You then have the option to accept the price or not. Your card is not charged if you don't accept their counter price.
Enter your AAA number to save on Hilton's website. When you book a room, and enter your AAA membership number you will save 10 percent on your room rate. Government and military employees can also save on their room rate.
