Go to your local warehouse store. They often have discounted tickets to Disney resorts. You can often buy these on the warehouse store's website. An added benefit is that you will have your tickets before you go, eliminating the need to wait in long ticket-purchasing lines at the park. Consider buying packages where discounts are offered to those wishing to visit more than one Disney resort within a certain amount of time. These tickets are substantially cheaper than buying separate tickets. Make sure you use all tickets before they expire.
Go to your local AAA club or call their travel department at 1-800-453-9125. Besides emergency roadside assistance, your AAA membership includes many discounts to amusement parks at different times of the year. Check to see if Disney is one of them.
Prepurchase tickets at a military base if you are a military member or veteran. The military member (or spouse) who purchased the tickets must be present with a valid military ID in hand when the tickets are used. This privilege is for active or retired members of the U.S. military (the National Guard, Reservists and the U.S. Coast Guard). Department of Defense (CIA, FBI, Secret Service) and Coalition Forces are excluded.
Call the customer service number on the back of all of your major credit cards and ask if they are offering any promotions to the particular Disney resort you plan on visiting. Keep in mind the special offers may be for a limited time or seasonal.
Check with your credit union to see if they are currently offering any Disney discounts.
Check the official website of the Disney resort of your choice. They list many current deals that are being offered. Be aware that they do not list all discounts that are offered by other companies.
Stay at a local hotel to take advantage of their Disney discounts. Take into consideration the shuttle service and parking alternatives they offer as well. If you have little ones, there is the additional bonus of going back to the hotel for nap time and then returning to the park recharged for the rest of the night.
Ask friends who live near your desired Disney resort if they know of any specials being offered to local residents. There are often local advertisements on television commercials or billboards.
