Buy admission for multiple days. When purchasing your Magic Your Way tickets you have the option of purchasing tickets to the theme parks for one to 10 days. The more days you purchase, the cheaper your tickets will cost per day. If possible, purchase the 10-day ticket with a "park hopper" option and no expiration date option. This way, if you are planning on visiting the parks again, you will already have tickets at a discounted daily rate.
Purchase tickets from authorized vendors. Disney has authorized some online vendors, travel companies and local businesses to sell tickets to the theme parks. Authorized online vendors include Orlando Fun Tickets, Mouse Savers and Great Orlando Discounts. Local vendors authorized by Disney include Wal-Mart and area hotel concierge desks. These distributors are able to get tickets in bulk from Disney and pass the savings on to their customers. Remember, theme park tickets are non-transferable and cannot be given to someone else. Authorized distributors are licensed and bonded, have a contract with Disney and offer no hidden fees.
Ask for a discount. There are a few organizations and groups that qualify for discounted tickets to the Disney theme parks. Make sure to ask for a discount if you are a Florida resident, member of AAA or a Disney Vacation Club member. Florida residents can take advantage of residency discounts, after 4 p.m. annual passes to Epcot or discounted annual passes. Military discounts are also available for those active in any branch of the U.S. military or are retired.
