The Alamo Inn, once called the Alamo Meadow Lane Hotel, is the typical roadside motel, located right off highway 93, also known as the Great Basin Highway. The motel is a single-floor complex that houses 13 separate rooms with parking spaces in front of each room. Although the accommodations are fairly basic, wireless Internet and television are available in each room. Other not-so-modern amenities, such as access to fire rings for campfire and horse pit setup, are available as well. As of 2010, rooms at the Alamo range between $40 and $60 a night. Pets are allowed at no extra cost.
The Windmill Ridge, also located on the Great Basin Highway, is a restaurant, bakery and hotel all in one. The establishment even offers tours of the Pahranagat Valley, which lies just up the road. The lodging facilities at Windmill Ridge include 15 cabins, which according to the website are "decorated in heritage themes of the valley." Modern amenities, however, are not forgotten, with each room providing a television, wireless Internet and, in some cases, a hot tub. As of 2010, the prices for a cabin at the Windmill Ridge range between $80 and $90 a night.
The Little A'Le'Inn is technically outside Alamo limits, about a 30-minute drive northwest of the town. Aside from being one of the few lodging options available anywhere in the region, it's the ideal spot for those with serious alien fever. The inn is located on the "Extraterrestrial Highway" and has been in business since 1990, providing guests not just with accommodations but with Area 51 maps, t-shirts and other alien-based souvenirs. The inn also works in conjunction with the Area 51 Adventure Tour, where guests can get as close as legally possible to the secret base. As of 2010, rooms are available for less than $50. For those with RVs, the cost of space and power is only $12.
