Carnival Cruise Lines has several low-cost cruises to the Bahamas available from 3-day trips to 5-day vacations. As of 2010, the cost ranges from $179 per person for a 3-day trip departing from Miami to Nassau on Carnival Imagination to $399 per person for a 5-day trip departing from Charleston, South Carolina to Freeport and Nassau on Carnival Fantasy. The ships have pools with water slides, whirlpools, miniature golf, dance clubs, bars, lounges, casinos, a spa, fitness center, youth programs and an Internet cafe. As far as meals and dining options the ships have everything from fine dining, a sushi bar and steakhouse to a pizzeria and 24-hour room service.
On shore in the Bahamas, families can enjoy spending time walking along the waters or sightseeing for free while capturing lifetime memories. If you have the extra spending money, while in Nassau and/or Freeport you can take a tour or shop for souvenirs.

On shore in the Bahamas, families will arrive on Royal Caribbean's own private beach, CocoCay, where they can hit some of the natural trails, enjoy the aquatic facilities such as Caylanas Aquatic Park, a floating playground or enjoy snorkeling or jet skiing.
