Look for a fractional program. A fractional program is one of the most basic and "pure" kinds of jet timeshare. In a fractional program, you become part owner of the private jet, along with a few other people. You can arrange your own program with friends or join a company program such as the one offered by NetJets.
Use a lease-like program. One of the less price-intensive options for private jet timeshare is a lease program such as the one offered by Trans-Exec Private Jets. Trans-Exec runs a program that charges you a monthly fee for an all inclusive service. Instead of owning the plane, you lease the right to use it and its crew for certain days out of the year.
Buy timeshare from one of the large carriers. Large airline carriers such as Delta Air also run private jet programs that allow you to buy chunks of time. Delta's private jet company, AirElite, sells relatively small blocks of time. Get private jet timeshare from AirElite in a 25 hour block, instead of pinning yourself down to the 100-800 hour blocks that corporate targeted jet companies sell.
Buy timeshare from resellers. One other economically advantageous way to get a timeshare on a private jet is to buy smaller blocks of the timeshare from a reseller. Marquis Jet buys large blocks of time from private jet timeshare operators and then breaks the large blocks down into smaller chunks for sale. While the prices for time blocks are still high, they are nowhere near the huge cost of large time blocks or fractional timeshare deals.
