Cruises on Which Kids Travel Free

When planning your next family vacation, you may want to consider going on a cruise together. A family cruise provides ease and value while only having to pay one price. Cruises offer families peace of mind knowing that their meals, activities and entertainment are included in the cost---not to mention the elimination of having to pack and unpack if you wish to visit multiple destinations. The following cruise lines offer packages where kids cruise free, but pricing and promotions are always subject to change.
  1. Disney Cruise Line

    • Disney Cruise Line offers three ships to choose from---Disney Magic, Disney Wonder and the newest Disney Dream. A fourth ship is already in the works, the Disney Fantasy, and is expected to be ready by 2012. Each ship was designed with families in mind and offers many fun-filled activities and entertainment venues to participate in. An added highlight that sets this cruise line apart is a day trip to Disney's very own Castaway Cay---a private island in the Bahamas with 1000 acres of land and water activities. Aside from all that is offered while out to sea, you also have the option of incorporating a trip to the Disney theme park into your vacation, as well. You can choose from a four to a 14-day cruise with destinations ranging from the Caribbean and Bahamas to Europe or Alaska.

    MSC Cruises

    • MSC Cruises---a division of the Mediterranean Shipping Company---is the fourth largest cruise line in the world. Destinations include the Caribbean, North and South America, the Mediterranean, Northern Europe and South Africa. On MSC, children under the age of eighteen cruise free all year when staying with two paying adults. On this cruise line, children are able to enjoy themselves in absolute security. There are supervised play areas and pools---along with many other fun activities for them to take part in. There are also a lot of activities available for teenagers, as well. The Teen Club offers games rooms, sports tournaments, music programs, team games and even a disco on some of the ships.

    Costa Cruises

    • Costa Cruises is an Italian cruise line that currently operates fourteen ships. Although based out of Italy, Costa also offers cruises in the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Indian Ocean, Middle East, South Africa and the Caribbean. The Costa Kids Program is a free service offered on all ships for kids between the ages of 3 and 17 with activities ranging from pirate treasure hunts and pizza parties to masquerades and face painting. Free Italian language lessons are also offered if you wish to enroll your child in one of the classes. Staff are there to entertain your children from morning to night, so they are sure to find many fun things to do while onboard one of Costa's ships.
