Aquaventure is the 140-plus acre water park located on the grounds of the Atlantis Resort. The park is home to seven water slides and a children's splash pool and water park. On the Serpent Slide, guests will slide through a clear tunnel in the depths of the Atlantis' shark-filled lagoon, passing inches from the tooth-filled mouths of these dangerous creatures. The park features a lazy river where guests can ride in inner tubes for a quarter mile leisure ride around the resort. For a more adventurous river ride, the Current is a one-mile long river ride with rapids, waves and water conveyers that take guests right up to the top of the Power Tower water slides for a ride. The water park is free for resort guests.
The lost city of Atlantis is visited by guests of the Atlantis Resort through the tunnels that lead through the resort's indoor aquarium, the Dig. When you visit the Dig you will see the lost city featured underwater, where marine life live and play right before your eyes. You'll see lobsters, fish, sharks, massive stingrays and even a seahorse. Lurking in the more dangerous areas of the Dig are the electric eels and the piranhas. You'll get to see large jellyfish, which are made up of more than 98 percent water and are completely see through. They have no eyes and no brains. The Dig is located in the lobby of the Atlantis hotel, where guests can enter for free.
At the Dolphin Cay exhibit at the Atlantis Resort, guests can purchase a ticket -- prices available through the hotel reservations center -- to swim with bottlenose dolphins. This attraction allows guests to enter the waist-deep water of the lagoon where they can swim and play with the dolphins. These friendly creatures swim right up to guests, allowing you to pet the dolphins and even give them a kiss if you so desire. This attraction is available for guests of all ages, provided children under 10 years old are accompanied by an adult. Your ticket includes all day access to the Dolphin Cay Beach.
