What route did William Clark take for his expedition?

Meriwether Lewis, not William Clark, led the Lewis and Clark Expedition. This expedition took the Corps of Discovery up the Missouri River to its source, across the Rocky Mountains, and down the Columbia River to the Pacific Ocean.
