How long ago were people living in Norway?

Archaeological finds have shown human settlement as long as 11,000 years ago by nomadic hunter-gatherers, later adopting a culture more similar to the Neolithic and the Bronze Age. Around 1500 BCE the Germanic-speaking Proto-Norse culture emerged from an Indo-European speaking people whose roots were from further south or east.
