What kind of people came to the Maryland?
In the 17th and 18th centuries, the majority of people who came to Maryland were of British descent, with a significant number coming from the English midlands and the south of England. These settlers were primarily agriculturalists, and they brought with them their farming traditions, culture, and language. Other groups of people who came to Maryland included Scottish, Irish, German, and French immigrants, as well as enslaved African Americans from West Africa.
