Oceania Insignia Cruises

Oceania is a U.S.-based luxury cruise line, and the Insignia is one of the ships in its fleet. The ship sails year-round out of European, Mediterranean and South American ports. The Insignia offers cruises that range from one week to multiple months. Oceania cruises are in the luxury category of cruises based on the amenities, services, room accommodations, food choices and entertainment provided to guests.
  1. Mediterranean

    • Eleven different voyages aboard the Insignia cruise throughout the Mediterranean. Cruises range in length from the 10-day Artistic Explorations, which sails from Venice to Rome, to the 15-day Gems of Europe which begins in Rome and sails to Greenwich, United Kingdom. The ship travels through the Mediterranean Sea, the Bay of Biscay, the English Channel and the Ionian Sea. Mediterranean cruises visit countries such as Italy, Spain, Greece, Turkey, France and Monaco.

    Greek Isles

    • There are three Insignia cruises in the Greek Isles. The 10-day Grandeur of Rome tour includes stops in Greece, Italy, Monaco and Turkey. The 12-day Jewels of the Aegean tours ancient cities such as Venice, Italy; Athens, Greece; Dubrovnik, Croatia; Kotor, Montenegro and Istanbul, Turkey. The longest cruise throughout the Greek Isles is the 14-day Wonders of the Ancients tour. This cruise makes stops at ancient relic areas including Egypt, Israel, Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, Syria and Israel. The primary body of water traveled is the Mediterranean Sea.

    Northern Europe

    • Six cruises on the Insignia are available in Northern Europe, ranging from 10 to 18 days. The longest cruise, the Lands of the Midnight Sun, takes passengers from Copenhagen to London. The cruise travels through the icy waters of both the Arctic Ocean and Norwegian Sea. Focusing on polar bears and glaciers, the cruise is centered around the natural scenery of the area. Other cruise offerings available include Norway, Sweden, Belgium, Germany, United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Russia.

    South America

    • South American cruises on the Insignia are available throughout the year. The 12-day Samba Serenade is the shortest cruise, which begins in Buenos Aires, Argentina and travels through the Atlantic Ocean to dock in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Ports visited include various stops in Brazil and Uruguay. The 22-day Antartica and Fjords Cruise is the longest cruise and explores a diverse collection of ports. Beginning in Rio de Janeiro, the cruise heads south to visit Antarctica to explore penguins and polar bears in their natural habitat. The ship then ends its voyage in Valparaiso, Chile.

    Transoceanic

    • The longest and most comprehensive of the Oceania sailings are the transoceanic trips. Four separate sailings on the Insignia are offered in this category. The 15-day Southern Sauntering travels through the Mediterranean Sea from Barcelona, Spain and then crosses the Atlantic Ocean to end in Brazil. The 18-day Journey to Rio cruise takes travelers from Rome to Rio de Janeiro.
