    • Jonathan's has been serving the area since 1979; however, the restaurant opened its new location in downtown Salem, north of the Historic Elsinore Theater. The new location features a revamped bar and a spacious and comfortable dining room. The restaurant interior has comfortable booth and table seating, glossy tiled floor, private banquet rooms and outdoor dining patio. Diners can enjoy the broad menu selection of steaks and Cajun-style food with customer favorites like the barbecue prime rib sandwich, crab cakes, sesame halibut and the marionberry cobbler, which is a dessert made with a type of blackberry native to the Salem region. In addition to its happy hour Monday through Saturday, Jonathan's accepts reservations, offers takeout and allows patrons to bring their own wine with a corkage fee.

    Prudence Uncorked

    • Situated at Pringle Park Plaza, Prudence Uncorcked opened its doors in 2010. This new restaurant and lounge destination serves new American cuisine in a chic and comfortable environment. The restaurant features a spacious two-story interior, a full bar, banquet facility and outdoor dining. Prudence Uncorked has a broad selection of wines and signature cocktails like Prudie's margarita made with house-infused lime tequila or the ginger garden made with house-infused ginger vodka and candied ginger. Entree dishes on the menu include the Parmesan-crusted rockfish filet and the wild mushroom bread pudding. Prudence Uncorked offers lunch, dinner and happy hour Monday through Saturday and is closed on Sundays.

    • Opened in early 2009, the Word of Mouth Neighborhood Bistro offers a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere in a home-style setting. The restaurant features booth and table seating, house plants, framed artwork as well as al fresco dining. The broad menu includes various choices of made-from-scratch dishes like the asparagus, ham and brie omelet, creme brulee French toast, biscuits and gravy, prime rib, chicken fried steak and eggs and the crispy chicken cordon bleu sandwich. The Word of Mouth Neighborhood Bistro is open for breakfast and lunch Monday through Sunday with daily specials and take-out available.
