Located on Florida's sunset side, on the Gulf of Mexico, this bustling seaside town has a plethora of attractions, outdoor activities and nearby beaches. Water sports are popular, including swimming, parasailing, waterskiing and fishing. Several local outfitters offer guided kayaking and fishing excursions. Downtown Bradenton is also home to the South Florida Museum with an aquarium and planetarium. If you have time, order the oven-baked, filled pancakes (these take 30 minutes to prepare). Rounding out the extensive menu are several egg and omelet dishes, along with eight types of eggs benedict and 25 types of country egg frittatas.
