Visit the AMA Waterways website. Another reliable river cruise specialist is AMA Waterways who also specializes in European river travel. A close competitor to Viking, their packages are often geared to entice customers away from Viking. AMA also partners with the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) to offer members credits for booking with them.
Book with Mississippi River Cruises. For domestic travelers, Mississippi River Cruises (see Resources, below) offers luxury accommodations aboard paddle-wheel river boats. Gambling, parties and visits to many of America's major cities are included on all short-term and long-term cruises.
Book a cruise down the Nile. Tour Egypt (see Resources, below) is the semi-official website of the Egyptian government and offers special incentives to lure travelers to Egypt. Visit an AAA office. The American Automobile Association also offers travel agent services with discounts for members. In addition to being able to book a river cruise, the AAA offers travel insurance, can arrange for airfare if necessary, and other services including comparison shopping. People booking though AAA must be members to receive the discounts.
