Visit the Harris County Toll Road Authority website at hctra.org. This website provides EZ passes for all people living in Harris County. You may fill out the EZ pass application online, download the form or visit one of the five EZ TAG stores in Houston. EZ TAG store hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday to Friday and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturdays. Call EZ Accounts at 281-875-3279 if Internet access is not available or if you would like specific directions to one of their Houston locations.
Complete the EZ TAG application form. The form will require general contact information, license number, vehicle information and method of payment. By completing the application, a minimum prepayment of $40 will be made toward toll fees and an application fee of $15.00 will be taken. This can be paid either by credit or debit card.
Submit the EZ TAG application form online, drop it by one of the store locations or mail to the administrative office at: Harris County Toll Road Authority, 7701 Wilshire Place Drive, Houston, TX 77040. If you turn in the application to one of the five store locations, you will receive the EZ TAG the same day, whereas you may have to wait several days for the EZ TAG to be mailed when applying online or by post.
