Snowmobile Trails in New Hampshire

New Hampshire is home to about 7,000 miles of snowmobile trails. These trails are open during the winter months and meander throughout the New England countryside, from the city of Manchester, to the state's capital in Concord, through the Lake's Region, all the way up to Coos County. Snowmobiling in New Hampshire allows you to enjoy the thrill of snowmobiling while taking in breathtaking landscapes and the beautiful scenery that New England has to offer. Along with numerous trails, New Hampshire features several parking locations where snowmobile trails are accessible.
  1. Meredith - Belknap County

    • Meredith, situated on Lake Winnipesaukee, offers views of New Hampshire's largest lake. From the parking area at Prescott Park, located North of the intersection of Routes 25 and 3, riders can gain access to the New Hampshire Corridor Trails 8 and 15, which meet up with a series of trails that wrap around the lake. The town of Meredith offers a variety of shops, restaurants, and inns that also make it a convenient place to stay.

    Conway - Carroll County

    • The town of Conway, with parts of it in the White Mountain National Forest, is a popular destination for out of state tourists and New Hampshire residents alike. Conway offers a number of ways to experience the beauty of the New Hampshire forest. Parking off Route 16 on West Main Street, gives access to New Hampshire Corridor Trail 19, which continues north toward Chatham and winds south through Ossipee.

    Canterbury - Merrimack County

    • Located just minutes outside of the state capital, Canterbury provides a parking area and access to the many trails that cover the capital area. The parking area on Clough Pond Road, located off of Route 106 in Loudon, is right off New Hampshire Corridor Trail 15, which begins south of Derry and continues north toward Ossipee.

    Manchester - Hillsborough County

    • As New Hampshire's biggest city, it may be a little surprising that Manchester is also home to some of the state's snowmobiling trails. On Exit 1 on the 28 bypass, riders can find a parking area with access to New Hampshire Corridor Trails. From Manchester, riders can opt to head east on Trails 6 and 15, or North on Trail 15. And after a day of snowmobiling, Manchester features a variety of restaurants, shopping areas, and other activities to relax after a day in the snow.

    Lincoln - Grafton County

    • Lincoln, nestled in the White Mountain National Forest, is home to part of Franconia Notch State Park and some of the most beautiful scenery and wildlife in the granite state. While Lincoln remains a destination by itself, it is also worth visiting because of its access to state snowmobiling trails, which give riders the opportunity to experience New Hampshire forests. Lincoln has two parking areas: one at Whale Tail Parking Lot on Route 3 and another by the Flume, off the Daniel Webster Highway. These parking areas provide access to New Hampshire Primary Trail 153 and Corridor Trail 11.
