Along the southern end of the Bahamas isles is Grace Bay Beach, a 12-mile stretch of soft powdery white sand and clear turquoise waters. Grace Bay Beach is the most popular beach along the coast of Providenciales, one of the eight major islands in the Turks and Caicos Islands. A barrier reef surrounds the island and protects the shore from strong waves, creating calm waters that surround the white sandy beach. Grace Bay Beach is also home to many beach resorts and spas, and is a major tourist destination. Also available on the island are a casino, an 18-hole golf course, an art gallery as well as restaurants and plenty of shopping.
The two major beaches on Boracay Island in the Philippines are Bulabog Beach and White Beach. White Beach is divided into three stations consisting of top resorts, bars and restaurants and tourist shops, and a quieter less-developed area. Bulabog Beach is located opposite of white beach on the other side of Boracay Island. This is where water sports like kite boarding, parasailing and various boating activities take place. All the various resorts and rooms around the island offer shuttle services to and from the more popular White Beach. During the day, in addition to spending the day on the beaches, visitors can explore caves and travel to other less-developed beaches like Puka Shell Beach and Newcoast Beach. At night are plenty of night life activities with clubs and bars on the island.
The trio of the Grand Cayman, Little Cayman and Cayman Brac islands make up the group known as the Cayman Islands. The Seven Mile Beach is on Grand Cayman Island with the highest water visibility of all the the Caribbean beaches, from 200 to 300 feet. The water remains warm ranging in temperatures from 83 to 89 degrees Fahrenheit. Coral reefs surround the beach's waters, keeping it calm and free of dangerous marine animals like sharks and man-of-wars. Because of this, the beach is popular to divers and water sport enthusiasts and houses many of the islands' luxury resorts and hotels.
Yoron Island is a short ferry ride from the coast of Okinawa Prefecture in Japan. The Island is only 8 square miles in area, and coral reefs surround it on all sides. It's so picturesque that it's considered the pearl of the East China Sea. The largest beach on Yoron Island is Oganekukai Kaigan. It consists of white sands and houses many restaurants as well as a camping area and a tennis court. On another shore of the island is Yurigahama Beach. It only appears at low tide, which is where snorkelers, scuba divers and other water sport enthusiasts go to enjoy its shallow waters. Yurigahama Beach is known for it's star-shaped sand, which is actually dead plankton dried into the shape of a star.
