Why is it bad to send anyone in Japan a red Christmas card?
Red is not traditionally associated with Christmas in Japan. Instead, white, green, and silver are associated with the Christmas season due to the influence of Western culture and the presence of snow in Japan during December. The color red is often associated with weddings, celebrations, and good fortune in Japanese culture. Therefore, sending a red Christmas card may not be considered culturally appropriate in Japan and could cause confusion or surprise to the recipient.
