Greetings in Greenlandic: 'Aluu' and 'Qujanaq'

In Greenlandic (Kalaallisut), the primary language of Greenland, there are two common ways to say "hi":

• Aluu (pronounced ah-loo) – a simple, casual greeting.
• Qujanaq (pronounced koo-ya-naq) – literally "thank you," but also used as a warm greeting to show appreciation for seeing someone.
