What is at the top of snowdon?

Snowdon's summit is a broad plateau, approximately 1 km² in area. It is the highest point in the United Kingdom, with an elevation of 1,085 metres (3,560 ft) above sea level. The summit area can be divided into three main areas.

* The north and east sides of the plateau are formed by the rocky escarpments of Crib Goch and Y Lliwedd. These ridges are popular routes taken by climbers and hikers who wish to reach the summit.

* The western arm is known as Moel Hebog and is the highest part of the plateau, with an elevation of 1,094 m (3,589 ft).

* To the south of Moel Hebog lies the "summit cone" which contains the weather station and summit trig point.
