3. Phurba Tashi Sherpa (1999): Phurba Tashi Sherpa, a Nepalese mountaineer, holds the record for the fastest ascent of Mount Everest without supplemental oxygen. He accomplished this feat in 1999, reaching the summit in just 12 hours and 45 minutes.
4. Pemba Dorje Sherpa (2008): Pemba Dorje Sherpa, also known as "Apa Sherpa," holds the record for the most summits of Mount Everest. He reached the summit for the first time in 1981 and went on to summit a total of 21 times before retiring from mountaineering in 2011.
5. Lhakpa Gelu Sherpa (2018): Lhakpa Gelu Sherpa, a Nepalese mountaineer, earned the title of "Most Summited Female Climber in the World" in 2018 when she reached the summit of Mount Everest for the tenth time. She continues to push her limits and aims to break her own record in the future.
6. Nirmal Purja (2019): Nirmal Purja, a Nepali-British mountaineer, achieved an incredible feat in 2019 known as the "Project Possible." He climbed all 14 of the world's 8,000-meter peaks, also called 8,000ers, in just 6 months and 6 days. Mount Everest was one of the summits he conquered during this project.
7. Zhang Hong (2019): Zhang Hong, a Chinese mountaineer, became the oldest Chinese woman to summit Mount Everest at the age of 66 in 2019.
