Why is it warm in the spring?

In spring, the Earth tilts so its northern hemisphere points more directly towards the Sun resulting in the vernal equinox and the Northern Hemisphere begins receiving relatively much greater amounts of daylight each day compared to nights. Consequently, temperatures during daytime spring months gradually rise until the summer solstice.
