What is the seasonal precipitation of a desert?

Deserts, by definition, receive very little precipitation throughout the year and are characterized by extremely dry conditions. While desert climates can differ, generally these regions receive less than 250mm (10 inches) of rainfall or equivalent moisture per year. Therefore, it wouldn't be appropriate to refer to seasonal precipitation of a desert, given their consistently low level of rainfall throughout the year.
