Is Morocco rural or not rural?

Morocco's population is divided almost equally between rural and urban areas. While the country has experienced rapid urbanization in recent decades, the rural population still accounts for a large proportion of the total population. According to the World Bank, the rural population of Morocco was estimated at 43% in 2020. This means that the country is both rural and urban, with a significant portion of its population living in rural areas.
