It is composed of seven members, including the General Secretary of the CCP (Xi Jinping), who is the defacto head of state and government, and the Premier of the State Council (Li Keqiang), who is the head of government. The Standing Committee makes decisions on a wide range of issues, including economic policy, foreign policy, and security.
