Bali, the famed Indonesian island, enjoys a tropical climate year-round, characterized by warm temperatures and distinct wet and dry seasons.

Two Seasons

Wet Season (October – March)

• Rainfall: Heavy, frequent downpours; afternoon thunderstorms common.
• Humidity: High (80–90%), feels warmer.
• Temperatures: 25–32°C (77–90°F).
• Sea: Choppier; some boat trips/diving affected.
• Upside: Lush green landscapes, full waterfalls, fewer crowds, lower prices.

Dry Season (April – September)

• Rainfall: Significantly reduced; mostly sunny days.
• Humidity: Lower, more comfortable.
• Temperatures: 23–30°C (73–86°F).
• Sea: Calm, clear—ideal for diving, snorkeling, surfing.
• Peak Tourist Season: July–August; book early.

Regional Variations

• Coastal Areas (Kuta, Seminyak, Sanur, Nusa Dua): Hotter, more humid, heavier rain in wet season.
• Inland/Ubud & Highlands: Cooler, less humid, slightly less rain; nights can be chilly (18–20°C).

Best Time to Visit

• April–June & September: Sweet spot—good weather, fewer crowds, better rates.
• July–August: Best weather but peak prices/crowds.
• December–January: Wet but festive; NYE in Bali is huge.
