Which country is situated in both Europe and Asia?
Turkey is situated in both
Europe and Asia. It is a transcontinental country that is located primarily in Western Asia, with a smaller portion in Southeastern Europe. Turkey borders eight countries: Bulgaria and Greece to the northwest; Georgia to the northeast; Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Iran to the east; and Iraq and Syria to the south. The Bosphorus Strait and the Dardanelles Strait, both of which are international waterways, connect the Black Sea to the Mediterranean Sea and separate Turkey's European and Asian sides.
