How to Spend a Day at Singapore Science Museum

If you have the privilege to visit Singapore, one place that should not be missed is the Singapore Science Centre. The entrance fees are relatively inexpensive, and both adult and children will have a great time. Below are some interesting activities that you can do if you have a day to spend there.

      Take a bus or the Mass Rapid Transit to Jurong East. The Science Centre is located at 15, Science Centre Road, about 8 minutes away from the Jurong East Bus Interchange and MRT Station. Or, take a taxicab or have someone drop you off.

      Purchase the entrance tickets. Children fees are half of adult price. You can also purchase optional tickets for the IMAX theatre where you can watch a 40-minute movie.

      Start by looking at some of the interactive displays along the aisle that leads into the exhibit halls. Bring in your camera, snap or video away at some of the curiosities you will find.

      Visit I-Space. This is a high tech adventure journey through several electronic interactive stations that takes about 30 minutes. Create your own pass, and you're on your way.

      Discover what nanotechnology can do. Play soccer with your shadow or with someone else's shadow, truly a must for the kids.

      Spend time at the children's park right outside the Science Centre called Waterworks. You admission ticket allows you access to the park. This is a good place to cool off and let the kids run around.

      Purchase IMAX tickets, take note of the time for the show you want to watch and be there 15 minutes before the start of the presentation.

      Watch the energy show and be prepared for some amazing sights. Keep your hands over your ears though.

      Learn about the wonders of Chemistry, Biology and Physics. Be amazed at the Robotic Learning Centre and discover yourself at the Human Body exhibit.

      Visit the exhibit halls for non-permanent exhibitions to enjoy the latest presentations of scientific wonders.

      Stop at the Curiosity Science Centre Shop on your way out to browse and purchase souvenirs and high tech toys.
