The capital of Mongolia is Ulaanbaatar. It is the largest city and the cultural, economic, and governmental centre of Mongolia. Ulaanbaatar is located in the central part of the country and is surrounded by the Tuul River and the Bogd Khan Uul mountain range. It has a population of approximately 1.3 million people.
