Cameron Highlands Tourism

Located north of Singapore and south of Thailand, the Cameron Highlands are a hilly part of Malaysia made up of several small towns that are a welcome retreat from tropical heat of the lowland areas.
  1. Accommodations

    • Beautifully modern accommodations grace the Cameron Highlands area. The Hotel de'la Ferns, for example, was designed with character and flora of the island in mind along with the comforts of guests, offering LCD TV and prayer mats in the rooms, concierge and turn-down service. Gorgeous accommodations are also provided at Bala's Chalet, Casa de'la Rosa and other fine hotels.

    Activities

    • As a multicultural environment, diversity in entertainment abounds. Visit bee farms, tea plantations and market farms. Or hike trails in the mossy forests for viewing unusual vegetation, such as the largest flower in the world. Jungle trekking is as popular as golfing, and lush views from both can become treasured memories.

    Prices

    • At the five-star Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat rooms can be reserved for upward of $600 per night as of October 2010. But the average accommodation can be reserved for less than $100 per night.
