What part of Canada is New France?

New France is not a part of modern-day Canada. It was the name given to the French colonial territory in North America that existed from the 16th century to the mid-18th century. The territory included present-day eastern Canada (the provinces of Quebec and Ontario), as well as parts of the northeastern United States (the states of Maine, Vermont, New York, and Ohio).
