You can view the American Falls from walkways along Niagara Reservation State Park at Prospect Point, which also features the Prospect Point Park observation tower. Visitors can also board Maid of the Mist boats from the park. The not-to-be-missed boat trip take visitors right up to the foot of the falls for an exhilarating experience of a lifetime. As at 2010, rates are $13.50 for adults and $7.85 for children. The trip lasts approximately 30 minutes and waterproof coveralls are provided; however, you'll get wet anyway as it's part of the experience.
