Jamaica is a tropical island in the Caribbean Sea with warm temperatures, high humidity, and year-round rainfall. Deserts do not exist on the island. The nearest true deserts are in northern Mexico (Chihuahuan), the southwestern U.S. (Sonoran, Mojave), or coastal Peru/Chile (Atacama)—all thousands of kilometers away.
