Tuolumne Meadows Stables is one of three riding stables inside California's Yosemite National Park and the only stable to offer rides through Yosemite's High Sierra Camps. It is also the only stable to offer rides that last longer than a half day, with options that range from day-long, two-hour or four-hour rides as well as six- and four-day pack trips. These trips are available between June and September and visit the Glen Aulin, May Lake, Sunrise, Merced Lake and Vogelsang camps in Yosemite's high country. Trips include food, lodging and guidance. Each day consists of three to five hours in the saddle, leisurely meals and time for individual exploration.

The Ojai Valley Trail Riding Company is located in the Ojai Valley, which is bordered by the Los Padres National forest and the Pacific Ocean in close proximity to Santa Barbara and Los Angeles. The Ojai Valley Trail Riding Company is open year-round and offers several different trail rides along the Ventura River Valley as well as through the Los Padres National forest. Children's pony kids and customized trail ride packages for groups or special events also are available.
