Adventure Connection offers river rafting vacations on the American, Kaweah and Tuolumne rivers in California. Over 450,000 guests have rafted over a 40-year period with O.A.R.S. on their tours ranging from a half-day ride to a six-day wilderness tour. Experienced rafters seeking a wild and scenic rafting vacation may choose the Cal Salmon River Rafting trip, a Class 5 rapid in northwest California with steep-walled canyons. Tributary Whitewater Tours operates under permits from the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Forest Service and began offering rafting vacations in 1978. Tours are available specifically for families with children and teens lasting from two to four days on the American, Carson, Lower Klamath and Yuba rivers. The Klamath River features 185 miles of whitewater and allows continuous trips longer than two days, according to Tributary Tour's website. Located in northern California, the Lower Klamath offers whitewater rapids, sandy beaches and wildlife such as river otter, eagles and heron. For multi-day trips, Tributary Tours provides all meals and gear is carried down the river "wilderness-style" with primitive facilities available.
