Why doesnt Antarctica have its own language or currency?
Antarctica is a continent without any permanent residents, so there is no need for its own language or currency. Additionally, since there are no permanent residents there is no government capable of enforcing language/currency regulations. The continent is governed by an international treaty, the Antarctic Treaty, which prohibits any country from claiming sovereignty over any part of Antarctica.
