On the right, centered in the half of the flag opposite the Jack, is a shield with a complicated design. On the top of the shield is a large turtle with a sheaf of wheat on its back. Below the turtle, on the red field of the shield is a golden lion. Six wavy sections of alternating white and blue fill in the balance of the shield, and serve as backdrop for three green stars outlined in gold. Below the shield is a banner bearing the words, "He hath founded it upon the seas."
The flag of Cuba has a bright red triangle jutting about a third of the way across the flag. A white, five-pointed star is centered in the triangle. Five stripes fill the rest of the flag, alternating in blue and white.
The flag of Curacao, one of the Netherlands Antilles, is mainly dark blue, with a gold band crossing the flag about a quarter of the way down. In the upper left hand corner are two white stars.
The flag of Dominica is divided into four quarters. The background of the four sections is bright green. The flag is bisected in both directions by broad bands of yellow, black, and white. In the center of the flag is a red oval, with ten green stars evenly spaced around its outer edge. A big green and purple parrot stands in the center of the oval, facing left.
The flag of the Dominican Republic is divided into four quarters. On the left, the top quarter is blue and the bottom one is red; on the right, the top quarter is red and the bottom one is blue. A white cross separates the quarters from top to bottom and side to side.

Centered in the triangle is a blue shield, bordered in red, with a rising sun and a flying pelican above it. Below these images is one of the courthouse at Philipsburg. The motto "Semper Pro Grediens" appears on a banner below the shield. The point of the triangle rests at the dividing point between a broad red strip at the top and a blue strip at the bottom.
The flag of Trinidad and Tobago is bisected from the upper left corner to the lower right corner by a broad black band with narrow white borders. The left and right sections on either side of the band are red.
The flag of the U.S. Virgin Islands, a United States territory, has a white field with a large gold eagle centered on it, facing left. On the eagle's chest, is a shield with a blue top and red-and-white striped bottom. In its left foot, the eagle holds an olive branch; in its right, it holds three blue arrows.
